Frequently Asked Questions about Reporting

Where can I find information on reporting results for the OELPS or OELPA?

Please refer to the OELPS Understanding Results Manual and the OELPA Understanding Results Manual on the test portal.

I gave the OELPS. Where are the student's scores?

OELPS results usually are available in the Centralized Reporting System (CRS) within 2-3 hours of submitting the test. If the student responded to items in Step Three, there are spoken and written responses that need to be hand scored by the district or school. Check if the Step Three spoken and written student responses were scored in the Teacher Assessment Scoring Center (TASC) on the test portal. See the Teacher Assessment Scoring Center User Guide for more information. Please note the TASC is a component of the Centralized Reporting System (CRS).

Can districts or families request rescores or verifications for the OELPA or OELPS?

Yes, for the OELPA. In TIDE, districts may submit requests to rescore and/or verify student scores for the OELPA. Families should make their requests through the district or school. There are no rescores or verifications for the OELPS.

When will scores from the OELPA administration be available?

The OELPA results are available to districts typically in May in the Centralized Reporting System on the test portal. Districts usually receive printed OELPA Family Reports in early June.

Please refer to the Important Dates page of the OELPS and OELPA test portal for information about the OELPA score reporting date. Testing dates for all state tests are available on the Department’s website.

What is Trial Mainstream for the OELPA?

The Trial Mainstream category for English learners is no longer available.

There is no Trial Mainstream for the OELPS.

I marked the domain test as exempt, but my student received a score. What happened?

To exempt a student from one or more domains on the OELPS or OELPA, the student test settings must be configured with the exemption before the student begins the test. When the exemption is set correctly, the test delivery system will not administer those domain items or tests to students. If a performance level is reported for the domain test, that indicates the exemption was not in place when the student began the test and the student took the exempted test. Test exemptions must be configured for each student before the student begins the OELPS or OELPA. Please see the Accessibility Manual for OELPS and OELPA for additional information about domain exemption.
