CAAELP Training Courses for Test Coordinators and Test Administrators Administering the Alt-OELPA

The Collaborative for the Alternate Assessment of English Language Proficiency (CAAELP) has created two, self-paced, online training courses for the new alternate English language proficiency assessment for English learners with the most significant cognitive disabilities. There is a course for test coordinators and a course for test administrators. All test coordinators and test administrators at schools administering the Alternate Ohio English Language Proficiency Assessment (Alt-OELPA) Feb. 6, 2023-March 31, 2023, are required to complete training before testing. Upon completion of each course, educators can download a Certificate of Completion that can be kept on file as a record of training.

The Alt-OELPA trainings are located on the ELPA21 training system. There are two ways to create an account to access the trainings:

  1. Directions for creating an account using a Google email address
  2. Directions for creating an account using a non-Google email address
