Alt-OELPA Webinar – December 13

Save the date and register to attend! The Ohio Department of Education and Workforce’s (DEW) Office of Assessment invites you to the Alternate Ohio English Language Proficiency Assessment (Alt-OELPA) Webinar on Wed., Dec. 13, 10:00 A.M.– 12:00 P.M. 

This webinar is primarily for school and district staff who will administer the Alt-OELPA this spring. The Alt-OELPA is a summative assessment of English language proficiency for English learners with the most significant cognitive disabilities in grades K-12. The webinar will provide a brief overview of the Alt-OELPA, statewide results from the 2023 administration, and some updates for the Spring 2024 administration, including student eligibility considerations, test administration procedures and domain exemptions.

All are welcome to attend, so please share this email with your colleagues, especially those who will administer the Alt-OELPA this school year.

The webinar will be hosted on the Microsoft Teams Live Events platform. To prepare for the webinar, participants may refer to the following webpages for information about attending Live Events and using Teams Live Events accessibility features.

If you are unavailable at the scheduled time, a recording of the webinar will be available on the test portal in January.
